NY cop arrested at JFK on armed robbery, drug charges

A 17-year veteran of the New York Police Department was arrested Wednesday, charged with armed robbery and narcotics trafficking, law enforcement officials said.?

Jose Tejada, 45, was taken into custody at Kennedy Airport after returning from the Dominican Republic, officials said.?

Tejada has been linked to three robberies in the Bronx in 2006 and 2007, according to officials.

The Drug Enforcement Agency task force helped NYPD and Port Authority make the arrest.?

Attorney information for Tejada was not immediately available.
